You can add a hyperlink to a shape that points to another Gliffy diagram or attachment in your Confluence instance, or to a website URL. This enables you to link one diagram to another. For example, you can create separate diagrams for different parts of a workflow and add links to navigate between the diagrams (such as a Next button or a Back to Main Flow button).

The link navigator lets you search for any page on any wiki in your Confluence instance, browse the Confluence pages that you have recently viewed, link to attachments on the current Confluence page, link to page content (sections formatted as h1, h2, etc.) on the current page, or set up a Web link to any URL.

Important: If you link to another Confluence page, you may want to use a Confluence tiny URL to avoid a broken link if the page is renamed or moved in the future. For more information, see A link to a Confluence page is broken.

Note: Linking is not available on multi-part shapes, such as swimlanes, certain UML shapes, tables, etc.

1. In your diagram, select the object.

Tip: To select an object, from the toolbar, click the pointer and click the object. Or, click and drag around the entire object and release so that a blue bounding box appears . To select the entire diagram, from the Edit menu, click Select All (or press Ctrl+A on your keyboard).

2. In the toolbar, click the Create Link button.

3. In the Insert Link window, select the destination for the link using one of the following options:

4. Click Insert.

After inserting the link, a link icon appears in the lower-right corner of the shape. This indicates that the shape is linked.

Tip: To remove the shape link icon, select the Hide Link Icon check box while you add the link.

5. Click the shape to show the link destination, go to the link, edit the link, or unlink.
